House Update!

Well, we are on the countdown now! We should be moving into our house in about 3 or 4 weeks; but it will probably be 4 weeks with Christmas holiday. They have finished painting and staining and poured the driveway. This upcoming week will be the tile and then start to install the light fixtures, electrical outlets, alarm system and plumbing fixtures. The house looks completley different with the paint and stain though. We are really happy with the choices that we made on our paint and stain colors.

We timed our visit out to the house on Friday perfectly! They were almost finished pouring the driveway and it was hard enough up by the garage that we could all put our handprints in there. It was a pretty chilly day so we bundled up and made our mark!

We went out to the house this morning to see if they had started painting the house and to our surprise they had finished!! The weather was beautiful and the kids had a great time running up and down the driveway and through the house. Looks like they painted the kitchen last and it was too wet to remove the tape like they did the rest of the house. The kitchen will really look different when the countertops go in. I am not exactly sure when that will be; but I am thinking that it will probably be next week. It is very exciting to go see the house now since something is going on every day making it closer to the finished product.
