On Thursday, the day after the big fire, I came home to a house (thank goodness) but no power. It was about 90 degrees upstairs and 85 degrees downstairs. We decided to get a generator and finally got that hooked up around 3:30 that afternoon. The first thing we plugged in was the TV! (followed closely by the fridge). They were still putting out hot spots all around us but our main problem was the no power since it was so toasty and we had already flushed all the toliets once. We ordered pizza for dinner and had a carpet picnic which the kids thought was great! We were stalling, stalling to go to our friends house because we had heard that the power was supposed to come back on anytime. We finally decided that we were probably going to have to leave and started putting the stuff back in our cars when voila! the power came back on... Thank goodness! The rest is history :)
This is how Ashley spends her time while her daddy is working on putting the generator together.

Haha - Ashley looks just like a teenager with her phone:) Hopefully you will not have to use your generator very often but it will be nice to have just in case.
Glad everything turned out A-okay with the fire situation
